DARSHAN – SPIRITUAL BLESSING – FAQ

What is the purpose of darshan?
Paramahamsa Vishwananda often says that He is cleaning off the dust and dirt from the mirror of your soul so that you can reflect the light of God more and more.
What do I get from darshan?

Just one moment can have a profound impact mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

People come away from encounters with Paramahamsa Vishwananda feeling a profound, heart-opening awakening of unconditional love and acceptance such as they have never felt before. Many receive healing from specific ailments, peace and calm of mind, and a feeling of being connected to the core essence of oneself — the soul.

Who can attend darshan?

Darshan is open to everyone. There are no restrictions. All are invited regardless of faith or tradition. There is no charge to receive the blessing, however, donations are always welcomed.

What time should I come?

The main event starts at 3:00pm but doors open from 2:00pm. To experience the fullness of this special occasion, we encourage you to arrive on time and stay till the end of the programme. However, if it is not a problem if you can only come later or have to leave before the end.

What time will Darshan end?

We anticipate Darshan to end no later than 11:00pm however this is all dependent upon the number of registrations received and on the day factors which may impact the timing.

What do I do during darshan?
Really, there is nothing for you to do during your darshan except to enjoy the moment. It is a time to immerse yourself in the experience.
What does it feel like?

Each darshan is a new experience. Every person’s experience will be unique to them in that moment. Whether you feel something profound, or nothing at all, something deep inside of you is being touched, whether you realise it or not.

What should I bring during the darshan?
You are not required to bring anything, however, some people choose to bring items to be blessed, such as holy scriptures, deities, or pictures of their loved ones. We will have a Bhakti Shop onsite to purchase any of the items noted above.
What should I wear?

While there is no strict dress code, we do ask you to come dressed modestly. As a general guideline, we encourage you to wear modest attire that reflects the sacredness of the experience.

We ask to please bring a shawl to cover your shoulders & head while receiving Darshan.
