SERVE THOSE
WHO SERVE HUMANITY

Now you can connect to the Divine through Serving the Deities at Srinivasa. With this new program, you can actively assist the pujaris who serve the deities every day by sponsoring the deities. For every puja conducted for the deity, the blessing goes to the sponsors. In this way, you are helping the deity to be served while gaining benefits for yourself as well.

CARRY THE BLESSING

We are happy to offer you this unique opportunity to become an integral part of Srinivasa Temple. With Serving the Deities, you can be of vital assistance to the pujaris by helping to make sure the daily needs of the deities and the temple are taken care of financially.

With your contributions, you participate energetically in the blessings of the deities every day. The blessing helps restore balance and harmony to all the five elements of nature. This helps to bring more harmony and stability into our lives, which empowers us to serve others better. Through the blessing given to you, you can be a source of change and support in this world.

YOU MAY ASK, ‘WHAT BLESSING DO I RECEIVE?’

The deities impart their grace and energy to those who have contributed to the puja. For example, when abhishekam is offered to the deity, the Grace that flows from the deity actually purifies and balances all the five elements of the pujari, the people who are present, and those who have sponsored. Purification and balancing of the five elements helps one to become more centered, attain a greater state of health in mind and body, and be in harmony with one’s life path and spiritual journey. This blessing is open to all those who wish to participate.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS ARE USED

Your donations are gratefully used to help cover most of the operating expenses of Srinivasa Temple. In fact, it is only your help that makes all the following elements of the temple service possible:

Prasad

Every day the deities receive freshly cooked prasad from our kitchen.

Puja Supplies, Vessels & Cleaning Equipment

Providing 5 elements (milk, ghee, etc.) and other items such as incense, kumkum, chandan, and more, both for abhishekam, daily pujas and yajnas.

Deity Clothes & Jewellery

Costs for coordinated sets of hand-sewn clothing to be designed and made for all the temple deities, as well as the purchase of jewellery to match.

Religious Festivals

Preparing, organising and running large religious ceremonies such as Navaratri, Shivaratri, Krishna Janmashtami and many others every year.

Flower Garlands

Flowers always make nice gifts to the deities. Flower decorations and garlands are made regularly at the Temple.

Utilities

Rental costs for the temple building itself; water, electricity and heating costs; maintenance of technical equipment, as well as maintaining the building.

Livestreaming

Making the daily prayers and festivals available to devotees around the world.

Technical Equipment

Providing items such as a mixing desk, speakers, screens, computers and all that is necessary for high-quality sound for future live events, video recordings and livestreams.

VOLUNTARY SEVA

In addition, many volunteer hours by residents and community devotees are donated, for example, in helping with daily pujas, performing music, creating flower garlands, repairing deity clothes, cooking and even more.

Managing the temple truly is a labour of love, and most of it is possible thanks to your loving contributions! If you would like to participate in seva, please contact us on info@bhaktimarga.co.uk.
