What is a Satsang?
Satsang: exploring spirituality. A Satsang is a gathering of people who are interested in exploring spirituality through interactive dialogue.
Many spiritual searchers in today materialistic society feel isolated. Taking part in a Satsang helps you to realise you are not alone and provides the opportunity to connect with like-minded people.
In a Satsang, people come together to share their spiritual insights, ask questions, and through dialogue deepen their spiritual understanding.
Each person’s spiritual experience is unique. Satsangs are an interesting way to learn about the other peoples’ spiritual experiences and challenges. Satsangs naturally reveal shared wisdom, which can enhance your understanding of spirituality and yourself.
How can a Satsang enhance your yoga practise?
The physical practise of yoga techniques like Hatha yoga or Astanga yoga were originally developed to prepare people physically and mentally for a deeper spiritual experience.
For anyone practising a physical form of yoga, participating in a Satsang will help them to go deeper into their spiritual awareness.
The practice of yoga is wonderful, but there is so much more to discover if you want to go deeper.
The word Satsang has its roots in the Sanskrit language. Although Satsangs are part of Indian philosophical discourse, spirituality is a universal experience. Participants can discuss all spiritual paths and experiences in a Satsang.
