Bhakti Marga UK is a spiritual organisation and community that supports the mission of Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda and Bhakti Marga International’s worldwide mission to spread Love and Devotion, within the UK. Bhakti Marga was founded by Paramahamsa Vishwananda in 2005.
Bhakti Marga UK hosts events with Paramahamsa Vishwananda within the UK. Bhakti Marga UK also runs a variety of spiritual events such as: music and kirtan gatherings; puja and prayer ceremonies; or Sadhana (spiritual practices) classes. All of these activities help you access the wisdom of your heart and develop your own unique relationship with the Divine.
What does Bhakti Marga mean?
The word ‘Bhakti’ (Sanskrit: भक्ति) stems from the Sanskrit verb ‘Bhaj’ (Sanskrit: भज़) which means ‘to be attached, devoted to or serve’. The word ‘Marga’ (Sanskrit: मार्ग) is a term that means ‘path’ or ‘way’. ‘Bhakti Marga’ translates, therefore, as ‘the Path of Devotion’.
Paramahamsa Vishwananda explains this beautifully:
“THE BHAKTI PATH MEANS A LOVE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, WITH THE ULTIMATE, A LOVE AFFAIR WITH THE WHOLE. IT MEANS THAT ONE IS READY TO DISSOLVE INTO THE WHOLE, THAT ONE IS READY TO INVITE THE WHOLE TO COME INTO ONE’S HEART.”
PARAMAHAMSA SRI SWAMI VISHWANANDA
Core Values of Bhakti Marga
The core values of the Bhakti Marga path are:
- Love – Learning to love ourselves, others and the Divine helps one change from the inside out, inspiring others to do the same.
- Patience – is developed by learning to do one’s dharma (duty) with an attitude of acceptance and devotion.
- Unity – comes as we learn to work together and grow into seeing everyone and everything as an aspect of Divine creation.
The Bhakti Path takes you on a journey to Love and accept yourself and naturally begin to experience the Divine Love inside of you. Through this Love, we can find unity with everything. As this Divine Love arises within, so does the self-confidence to apply it in everyday life.
Bhakti Marga UK Spiritual Practices
True Love resides in the silence of the heart. To access this Love, you must learn to move beyond the whim of your senses and the incessant chatter of your judging mind. The only way to do this is through practice, and sadhana is a tool to help you stay focused on your path and to clear the obstacles that stand in the way of experiencing life in ways you never imagined possible.
5000 years of history & The Master’s blessing
Sadhana means spiritual practice. Bhakti Marga Sadhana techniques have their origin in 5000 years of ancient wisdom. Each practice carries the blessing and grace of Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda and His Master, Mahavatar Babaji: father of all Kriya Yoga. Love is the heart of all these practices, and since love is beyond religion, these practices are beneficial for everyone regardless of their personal beliefs or interest in following a spiritual Master.
The Master’s blessing is the key to unlock the potential of these practices, providing the knowledge and tools needed to take you to new realms of consciousness. The uniqueness of these practices is not found in the number or repetitions, but in their proven history and the way they are performed. Just a few rounds a day, done with love and devotion, will change the way you relate to yourself and life itself.
Bhakti Marga offers one Sadhana with five different ways to rise in love with life.
